Varun Dhawan and John Abraham’s Dishoom will collect Rs 30 crore in the opening weekend, suggests trade expert!

The film is set to have a decent start at the box office…

Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez are coming up with a fun filled action film – Dishoom. The film has been in the news since a while now, however the buzz has fizzled out in the recent weeks as none of the songs or promotional bits are working. But looks like the film hasn’t been affected at all. The star cast’s popularity and the gripping story line will totally get the film a decent start at the box office.

As our trade expert and Editor of Super Cinema, Amul Mohan revealed to us exclusively, “I am looking at a Rs 9 crore opening for Dishoom on day one. I think it has a decent buzz as it releases. Varun Dhawan’s popularity is very big and John Abraham has a decent set of fan following too. They are also playing a very good role and two hero films always excite the audience, so it will have a decent run. Over the weekend, it will open at Rs 9 crore, then a Rs 11 crore collection on Saturday and Rs 12 crore on Sunday. So you are looking at a collection of Rs 30-32 crore over the opening weekend, which is a decent number.”

In fact, the current run of Rajinikanth’s Kabali won’t affect Dishoom also. As Amul revealed to us further, “I think both the movies are different. The people who will watch Dishoom are a different audience (as compared to the people who will see Kabali). Also, there hasn’t been a proper Hindi release since Sultan. A two week gap is a big deal, so people will want to watch something new, something different. Varun has a great fan following too, so both the films can co-exist.”
