Bollywoodlife is back with another set of hit songs from the week…

Hey Bollywoodlifers. Sunday  is here, which means it’s time for Trending Tunes. What better way to make the gloomy weather outdoors a little bearable, than putting on some good music? We round up the best music from last week, songs that are rocking the music charts all over. So let’s get started. You know the drill…turn up the volume!

These are the hit songs from this week

Kala Chashma (Baar Baar Dekho)

You will be able to admire the betas if this song, if you are able to get over Katrina Kaif’s fabulous abs. The song is a rehash of a popular song from back in the days. Badhshah composes and raps in this groovy dance number coupled with eye catching choreography. No wonder the song got hit by 14 million views in no time. Sidharth Malhotra joins the swag party with Kat, and the two of them look pretty good together. Neha Kakkar, Indeep Bakshi, Amar Arshi provide the necessary support in crooning this number. Amrik Singh and Kumaar helm the peppy lyrics.

Tay Hai (Rustom)

Aren’t we all excited about Akshay Kumar’s next outing after Airlift. Rustom is enigmatically filled with romantic tracks that will trend this season. Tay Hai is beautiful song composed and sung by Ankit Tiwari. Oh, this guy knows magic. If Anknt’s voice is soul to this song, Munntashir’s lyrics are the heartbeat. A must have for every playlist.

Tere Sang Yaara (Rustom)

Featuring Akshay Kumar and Ileana, again, who for all that we know, play husband and wife in the film, look every bit romantic in this track. The music is as mesmerising as their cute romance. The lyrics are penned by Manoj Muntashir. And cherry on the top, we’ve Atif Aslam hitting back with his heart-winning voice and Arko’s romantic music- which only makes this song a perfect combination beautiful music and oh-so-beautiful visuals.

Tu Hai (Mohenjo Daro)

Tu Hai is a romantic ditty, composed by AR Rahman and even sung by the maestro! The song is about how Hrithik Roshan‘s character gatecrashes some Mohenjo Daro-an function, where Pooja Hegde’s character is seen dancing. The female voice is of Sanah Moidutty who does an amazing job of matching up to her more experienced co-singer. The lyrics is by Javed Akhtar. Jag Ghoomeya (Sultan)

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s is magical. The sentiments drips through every musical note and lyric of Jag Ghoomeya. Vishal Shekhar have delivered a masterpiece with this song from Sultan. Irshad Kamil’s lyrics give the song a poetic touch. This song is a musthave for your playlist. Soulful and cute.
