The film continues to perform well at the overseas market…
Salman Khan‘s Sultan broke every record that stood in front of it when it released on Eid this year. The film broke a staggering 35 plus records in the opening weekend itself and looks like it is on its way to break few more records. Though the film has lost out on a considerable screen space due to the arrival of Rajinikanth’s Kabali and Varun Dhawan’s Dishoom, the film still continues to perform well. The film entered the fourth week today and we have to say that it has done well over the three weeks at the domestic as well as overseas market. The film has now collected a mammoth Rs 565.42 crore (gross) at the worldwide market.
At the domestic box office, the film had a good 3rd week as it collected Rs 15.84 crore to take its total collection after 3 weeks to Rs 293.80 crore nett (Rs 411.32 crore gross). As trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed in his tweet, “#Sultan collected Rs 15.84 cr in Week 3, taking the 3-week total to Rs 293.80 cr. Will have to remain steady in Week 4 to reach Rs 300 cr mark. #Sultan [Week 3] Fri 2.14 cr, Sat 3.81 cr, Sun 5.14 cr, Mon 1.30 cr, Tue 1.25 cr, Wed 1.15 cr, Thu 1.05 cr. Total: Rs 293.80 cr. India biz.”
Sultan remained rock solid in the overseas market too. It added another Rs 2.18 crore in week 3 to take its overall tally to Rs 154.10 crore after 3 weeks. As Taran revealed to us, “#Sultan – OVERSEAS – after Week 3: $ 23.09 million [Rs 154.10 cr]… FAB! #Sultan – OVERSEAS [key markets] – after Week 3: USA-CANADA: $ 6.026 mn, UAE-GCC: $ 8.311 mn, UK-IRELAND: $ 2.230 mn, PAKISTAN: $ 3.02 mn”
Adding both the domestic and overseas figures, we have Salman Khan’s Sultan box office collection standing at Rs 565.42 crore (gross) at the end of week 3. Looks like the film will easily touch the Rs 300 crore mark at the domestic box office soon, however we aren’t sure if the film will be able to touch the Rs 600 mark at the overseas market. Let’s see what happens. Till then check out what the people had to say about Sultan in the video right here:
