Salman Khan’s stardom is nothing in comparison to Rajesh Khanna’s, believes Salim Khan!

Salim too now joins the debate on blaming Rajesh Khanna for bringing mediocrity to Bollywood. Read on to know what he has to say…

Blame it on Naseeruddin Shah, the mediocrity debate over Rajesh Khanna just doesn’t seem to die down, despite daughter Twinkle Khanna requesting everyone to stop arguing over someone who is no more. She had even tweeted saying, “This has gone far enough, can everyone please stop,we have all stated our opinions now can everyone go play Pokemon!.” However, veteran actor Salim Khan still cannot digest the fact Rajesh Khanna is actually being targeted in such a way.

In support of the late hero, Salim just took to Twitter comparing the veterans’ unmatched stardom to Salman as he wrote, “An actor passed my house and saw a big crowd waiting for Salman he called me up to say he has not seen anything like this before. I told him I have seen bigger crowds many times outside Rajesh Khannas house. He was the first and the last superstar of the millennium. Anyone calling him a mediocre actor should know that no one can reach these heights unless he has something extraordinary to offer. Frustration and bitterness are difficult to cure but carrying the same for such a long time is unheard of.” Makes a valid point right?

Not to forget, Salim Khan has always been this vocal about his thoughts, irrespective of what the controversy is. He doesn’t hesitate in calling a spade a spade. So we aren’t surprised he is joined this debate over Rajesh Khanna this time. But guess, like Twinkle says, it’s high time everyone stops debating over Rajesh Khanna based on Naseeruddin’s statement.

For all the ignorant, Naserrudin Shah had said in an interview saying, “It was the 1970s when mediocrity came in Hindi films. That’s when the actor called Rajesh Khanna joined the industry. For all his success, I think Mr Khanna was a very limited actor. In fact, he was a poor actor. Intellectually, he wasn’t the most alert person I have ever met. His taste ruled the industry.”
