As we all know, the once-adorable couple who tied the knot on June 12 2014 are most likely to part ways, citing compatibility issues. This news has definitely shocked the South industry. Now according to sources, the real reason for their split is Amala’s decision to continue working despite Vijay’s parents’ disapproval. Also a source close to the couple stated that, they are heading for a mutual split because of compatibility and lifestyle issues.
According to a leading daily, Vijay refused to reveal the details. When asked if the reports of them heading for a divorce were true, here’s what he said “I don’t want to talk anything about it. I will abide by my parent’s decision,” revealed the director. Clearly, from his statement it looks like his parents will have the last call on the matter. In fact, even her Facebook posts have off late been about her shoots, upcoming movies with Vijay nowhere in the picture. According to another report, Amala Paul’s over friendliness with a much married Tamil actor is also creating problems.
The duo started dating during the making of Deiva Thirumagal which starred Amala Paul and was directed by Vijay. In fact, it was this film opposite Chiyaan Vikram that propelled her career to greater heights after Mynaa. They dated for three years before getting married in June 2014.
On the work front, Vijay is currently working on his bilingual Tamil-Telugu release Devi, while Amala Paul is promoting her upcoming film Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum. Apparently, she will be part of Dhanush’s trilogy Vada Chennai. She was last seen in Amma Kannaku, which is the Tamil remake of Neel Bhattey Sanata.
