Superstar Mahesh Babu’s much anticipated yet-untitled Telugu project with filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss went on the floors on Friday.
“The shooting has commenced. After the first schedule in Hyderabad, the makers will shoot predominant portions of the film in Mumbai,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS. Also starring Rakul Preet Singh and S.J. Suryah, the project will be made on a budget of Rs 90 crore.
Tipped to be an action thriller, the film will mark the first time collaboration of Mahesh and Murugadoss. According to the source, the makers are planning to shoot a couple of songs abroad. “They haven’t finalised on a location yet. But they’re planning to shoot in never before explored places,” he said. The movie will have a bilingual release in Tamil and Telugu.
Reportedly a special ceremony is being held to commence with the shoot once and for all. The director and technical crew were present along with Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata Shirodkar. The movie has been making news for quite a while for many reaosns. Intially Parineeti Chopra was apparently to play the lead but turns out, that never was the case. While there are other rumours floating aorund that Keerthy Suresh wa approached for the movie.
Now there are rumours stating that Vasco Da Gama or Enemy could be the title of the film. The shoot schedule was to begin two weeks prior but reportedly Mahesh’s look in the film is the reason for this delay.
Harris Jayaraj will be composing the music for this flick. He has reportedly already finished work on two tracks.
