The guy has humour…Interesting!
Bhavesh Joshi is one of the those films which gets lost in translation. Or rather in cast reshuffle. It was supposed to go on the floors first with Imran Khan apparently, then it moved to Sidharth Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh to finally rest on Harshvardhan Kapoor.
In fact, Vikramaditya Motwane, the director of the film had even said at an event that the film has been shelved. He quoted as saying, “‘Bhavesh Joshi’ is not happening. I think time has changed. It was a film, which I wrote at the peak of the Congress government and about all the things that were wrong then, not that everything is right, right now…” From there to actually confirming Kapoor Jr. for the lead role to announcing its first day of shoot, the film has come a long way. It is this announcement that’s amusing.
Harshvardhan shared a collage of pics which has Motwane telling anyone who cares to listen on how the film came into being. He writes, “#bhaveshjoshi# vikramadityamotwane #finaly# shootday #gameday @ fuhsephantomhere we go.” The picture has crew members including the director wearing T-shirts which have many messages etched across it, some of them are, “Mera Bhavesh Ayega.” “Postponed twice”, “3 years 3 months 3 weeks 6 days later…”, “ACTION!” Clearly, the makers are using the shuffle and delays to their advantage and trust only Phantom to come up with such quirkiness.
Bhavesh Joshi is apparently a story of a Gujarati superhero who saves people. Yet another vigilante film.
