Dishoom box office collection: Varun Dhawan and John Abraham’s film earns Rs 1.64 crore in UAE, BEATS Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi!

The film has opened well at the overseas box office…

Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez’s Dishoom released in India today and it seems that the film has got off to a good start. However, it’s not just India where the film is making noise, but also in the overseas market. The film has opened well at the International box offices too, especially in UAE. In fact, Dishoom released in UAE on Thursday (the common practice over there) and has already raked in Rs 1.64 crore.

Yes, the production houses confirmed to us that Varun Dhawan and John Abraham’s film has collected AED 900K (Rs 1.64 crore) on Thursday. This is a really good opening for this kind of film. In fact, the best part is that Dishoom has fared much better than Varun Dhawan’s ABCD 2 which had collected AED 500K (approx Rs 1 crore). This surely means Varun’s popularity has gained some momentum in the Middle East. And plus Jacqueline is from Bahrain, so that connect does also helps.

In fact, the film has been able to BEAT Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor’s Baaghi which had collected Rs 1.54 crore on day one in UAE-GCC.

In the meanwhile, back in India, Dishoom‘s box office collection might stand at Rs 10 crore after day one and at Rs 32 crore after the first weekend. As our trade expert and Editor of Super Cinema, Amul Mohan revealed to us EXCLUSIVELY, “Dishoom has started well on day one. The occupancy has been 30-35 per cent all across India. The film will collect around Rs 9 crore on the opening day. However, it may do slightly better (more than Rs 10 crore) if the evening numbers are better. Till now, the film is performing decently. Over the weekend, it will open at Rs 9 crore, then a Rs 11 crore collection on Saturday and Rs 12 crore on Sunday. So you are looking at a collection of Rs 30-32 crore over the opening weekend, which is a decent number.”
