Dhanush’s Thodari postponed again, will now release on August 19?

Thodari starring Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh will now most likely release post Independence Day!

Thodari is about an adventurous train ride on the Duronto Express from Delhi to Chennai. That’s when Dhanush falls in love with Keerthy Suresh who happens to be travelling on the same train. Keeping Rajinikanth’s Kabali in mind, the release date was to be 29th July or 5th August. It then got pushed to the Independence Day week. And now the date is being pushed further to 19th August. Reportedly, director K.S.Ravikumar’s ‘Mudinja Ivana Pudi’ and director Raju Murugan’s second outing ‘Joker’ is slated to release On dinependece day and that may probably be the reason why Thodari has been pushed.

Hopefully, this is a confirmed release date but as of now, no official announcement has been made. The film also stars Radhika Ravi, Nasser, Ganesh Venkatraman, Thambi Ramaiah and Karunakaran. The music album was composed by D Imman and it has received a decent response. The film is directed by Prabhu Solomon.

Thodari first look poster shows a typical express train set up. The vintage look gives it a retro vibe. The film’s trailer promises to have elements of romance, comedy and adventure.

In other news, Dhanush is working on Gautham Menon’s Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta and Vetrimaaran’s trilogy Vada Chennai. There were reports earlier of Samantha Ruth Prabhu being part of the film but now Amala Paul will be part of the project.

Also in the mean time, you can cheek out Thodari’s trailer right now if you want!
