Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s Manmarziyan put on HOLD and we know why!

Read on to know all the EXCLUSIVE details…

Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar‘s Manmarziyan was announced by Aanand L Rai under his home banner Color Yellow Productions last year. While the film was directed by Sameer Sharma initially, the producer was not happy with it how it was shot and hence decided to replace him with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari (of Nil Battey Sanata). Though the film was back on track, we now hear that Anand L Rai has put the film on hold for the moment and we have EXCLUSIVE details about why he has decided to do so.

Our sources reveal to us that almost half of the film had to be shot in north India, capturing the winter but since there have been downpours across the country, the schedule has been put on hold. The source tells us EXCLUSIVELY, “Aanand L Rai never compromises on his vision and on the quality of his films. A major portion of Manmarziyan had to be captured in the winter in North India and hence it has been pushed to a later date.”

The filmmaker is also busy with the pre-production of his directorial next with Shah Rukh Khan and under the given circumstances has mutually decided along with the cast and crew to put the film on the back-burner for the moment. As the source adds to us, “In the meanwhile he has decided to entirely focus on his directorial with Shah Rukh Khan.”

Manmarziyan is a romantic story set in Punjab. Both Ayushmann and Bhumi play Punjabis in the film and it will be their second film after Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
