The actor is deeply saddened by the news..
Pakistani model Qandeel Baloch’s death indeed came as shocker to everyone. The model was murdered by her brother in her sleep and was termed as honour killing. His brother was extremely angry with Qandeel for putting up her videos and pictures on social media and so he murdered her. Qandeel’s parents are deeply shocked and grieved with their son killing their only daughter who earned bread for them. Baloch’s parents want their son to be hanged till death.
Apart from Baloch’s parents, even the Pakistani entertainment industry is miffed with the heinous killing. Ali Zafar says that women are mistreated for long time in this part of the world. The actor was asked about Baloch’s murder during his conversation with a leading daily. He strongly criticised it and said, “ The kind of respect that we, me, need to impart to women is lacking to great extent. Why should they even have to ask for equality and their right? It’s their birthright, so why do they have to fight for it? We, men need to realise and give the respect that women, daughters, mothers and wives deserve. I feel strongly for this cause, but I want my actions to speak for what I stand for. I am taking care of the education of 100 girls and I hope to carry forward the cause of standing by women and educating them.
Currently Bolach’s brother is under arrest and investigations are going on. We hope the girl gets justice.
