Okay, let me just say it – the rains su*k! Yes, you have reasons to make a cup of hot coco and call in sick. And yes, your out-of-town drives look so much more scenic. But what about the most important thing; your hair? Whether you’re a naturally curly haired girl (a.k.a me) or you have been blessed with smooth, wavy hair, your locks are at it worst when the clouds get heavy and it rains. Amirite?
The dryness, the frizz and the unmanageable state of affairs (the curl hair girls know this best) is quite a pain in the ass. But don’t reach out for the flat iron or blowdryer just yet, salvage your hair with any of these 5 hair masks!
1. Olive Oil + Honey
One of the most common items everyone usually has at home would be sweet/raw honey and olive oil. Quite common, right? And with 2 tablespoons of honey for every 60 ml of olive oil, you can slowly say buh-bye to damaged hair and hello to a strengthened and moisturised mane!
2. Coconut Oil + Honey + Conditioner
The trifecta of coconut oil, honey and your favourite conditioner makes for a super hydrating mask. Especially for those split-ends! Take a pump of your favourite conditioner into a bowl, add 2 tablespoons of honey and 3-4 of coconut oil, mix and apply!
3. Mayonnaise + Honey + Egg
You know how they say Beer is good for the hair. Well, so is mayonnaise! Call it a food lover’s conditioner if you may, but 3 -4 spoons of mayo mixed with 1 egg and 2 tablespoons of honey can make for the best at-home hair mask.
4. Avocado + Honey + Olive Oil
Avocados taste reallll good. And along with their healthy properties, they also include nutrients that are high in fiber and protects your hair from further damage while leaving it moisturised from the hair cuticle.
5. Apple Cider Vinegar + Egg + Raw Honey
Apple cider vinegar can be used for many reasons as a beauty tool. And among them, an excellent hair rescuer! Mix an egg with 1 tablespoon of raw honey and 4 of apple cider vinegar into a bowl, apply from the roots till the ends to see shiny and healthier locks!
Try any one of these once a week for at least a month!
P.S – The quantity is just the basic amount. If you have thicker or longer hair please feel free to use a little more.
Let me know if you happen to try any 🙂
